Athena Beis, M.D.,CWSP, provides advanced wound care treatment as the Medical Director of Salem Regional Medical Center's nationally-recognized Wound Healing Center.

Internal Medicine Residency: University of Connecticut School of Medicine

As an experienced wound care specialist, Dr. Beis provides clinical leadership and state-of-the art care for those with painful wounds or ulcers that do not heal over time. SRMC’s Wound Healing Center offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy and a comprehensive range of advanced treatment options for those with hard to heal wounds, including:

• Diabetic and neuropathic ulcers
• Venous/arterial and pressure ulcers
• Osteomyelitis
• Radiation injuries
• Compromised skin grafts and flaps
• Burns
• Wounds that have not healed in 30 days

Dr. Beis is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Wound Management.
